KARACHI: A delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) visited the Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Karachi office, Idara Noor-i-Haq, on Saturday.
The MQM delegation, comprising Ameenul Haq, Abdul Haseeb and Rehan Hashmi extended their invitation to JI Karachi Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, to join MQM’s rally in solidarity with the armed forces, which is scheduled to be staged at the Bagh-i-Jinnah tomorrow (Sunday).
JI warmly welcomed the MQM delegation but showed reservations in joining the rally.
“Jamaat-i-Islami does not support North Waziristan operation,” the JI Karachi Emir said, adding, “We are with the Pakistan Army, but the operation would result in creating differences and rift between our armed forces and the people of tribal areas.”
The JI Karachi Emir also asked for an immediate stop to the operation.
Talking to mediapersons, Ameenul Haq said, “We have old relations with Jamaat-i-Islami, and we are here to invite them to our rally.”
“We hope for Jamaat-i-Islami to also visit our headquarters, it will improve relations,” Haq said.

Why Jamat-e-Islami has reservations in joining the Rally to Support army. After all, they were ridding on high horse when Zia-ul-Haq usurped power. They tried to use army at that time to achieve power through back doors. Now with their refusal moral bankruptcy attains new definition.

They are inviting that party which was against the very creation of Pakistan and still playing its role to strengthen anti Pakistan elements and are parents of the TTP. Their ex Amir Munawer termed the terrorists as Shaheed and not the fighters of Pakistan Army who sacrificed their lives for the country.

How can JI support military operation in Waziristan? They are part of the terrorists groups operating in Waziristan? They should have been banned, their leadership tried in the court of justice and accordingly subjected to punishment (crimes committed against Pakistani state and people).

Right decision by MQM to further expose the true mindset of JI they are the god father of terrorists and not happy with the operation. They are the ones who introduces Kalashionkov culture in colleges in Pakistan. JI should be banned in Pakistan just like Bangladesh did.

@Hussain JI is an extension of the yester-years Ahrar Party in India, who had opposed the creation of Pakistan. Near the independence in 1947, the Ahrar Party had dissolved itself and had merged itself into the Congress Party. The Jamiatul Ulma-e-Hind is the driving force behind the JI and the TTP. The JUH could never accept a secular like MA Jinnah as the leader of the Indian Muslims and have ever since been after destruction of Pakistan, his legacy.

If the nation of Pakistan, the so-called educated elite/intelligentsia or masses overall, everyone, still do not grasp their (Jamat-e-Islami's) true intention to lend support to Taliban terrorists, then I can only express my deepest lament over this criminal obtuseness of my fellow countrymen. Islam has nothing, at all, to do with terrorism, on one lying pretext or another, as put forth by "Jamatis", save Islam is a religion of peace and an extremist of Islam is supposed to be the most loving human being alive, not a TTP-apologist, by any means.

Is Jumat for Pakistan or Taliban? These guys do not get it. People now know their tricks arguments and motives. Of course when you enter into a snake pit like Taliban held areas then you do expects bites. Snake pit needs to be destroyed regardless of the bites.

Liberals, in Europe, even respect the rights of animals: they do not eat animal meat because they think slaughtering animals is barbaric.
