HYDERABAD: The Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimeen (MWM) on Sunday criticised the PML-N government for rampant corruption and alleged that it had grabbed powers through massive rigging.

Speaking at a press conference at the local press club, MWM central deputy secretary general Allama Mohammad Ameen Shaheedi announced his organisation’s full support for the Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri in his movement against the government.

MWM Hyderabad general secretary Allama Imdad Ali Naseemi, media secretary Asim Mirza and other leaders were also present.

Allama Shaheedi blamed the recent killing of PAT activists in Lahore on the federal government and the Punjab police, and alleged that the Punjab police acted more cruelly than the Indian army in (occupied) Kashmir.

Rally: The MWM leader, later, led a rally to protest bombings on holy shrines in Iraq and Syria.

He accused the PML-N of ‘reluctantly’ backing the military operation against terrorists, saying that it supported banned militant organisations.
