RAMAZAN moon sighting is only about six weeks away, followed by Eid moon sighting.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ramazan begins a day earlier and Eid too is celebrated a day earlier. Some senior ANP ministers of the last government lent support to this split.
Now that a new political party (PTI) has formed government in KP, it is expected that it would work on the issue, too, so as to have the start of Ramazan and Eidul Fitr on the same day throughout the country.
For that, the KP government would have to include it among its objectives for the first 100 days in office.

People in KPK follow the moon sighting in Saudi Arabia. Although in Saudia, moon is not actually visually observed. They follow Ummul Qura calendar. According to this, if moon is 5 degrees above the horizon at the time of sunset, they declare new moon. In most cases moon should be about 10 degree above the horizon (depending upon horizontal elongation between the sun and moon and amount of cloud cover) to be visible. Saudi calendar mostly starts a day before the actual new moon.

KPK government should start using the scientific calender of the lunar dates, to resolve this issue permanently. This will let everyone know when a specific month is starting and hence everyone will be able to plan their things and schedules accordingly.

It would be nice if it could be implemented but as we all know in Pakistan everyone thinks his version and following of Islam is holier than the others.
But it is worth giving it a try. Expect strong resentment to a sentimental religious issue.

why should it matter when a particular regions starts eid, or claims to see a moon. Why not let people be different.
