WASHINGTON: The Obama administration says it hopes Pakistan will resolve a deepening political crisis in a way that strengthens the civilian government.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is acknowledging ''a lot of concerns'' about instability in Pakistan. She said the US stands ''strongly in favor of a democratically elected civilian government.''
But she said Pakistanis themselves must resolve their issues in a legal and transparent way. Pakistan's president left Thursday on a one-day trip abroad, amid widening speculation over the army's intentions.
Pakistan's prime minister fired the defense secretary Wednesday. Clinton said she conveyed US positions on Wednesday, when she welcomed Pakistan's new ambassador.

I don't see any positive act from US to help civilian govt of Pakistan in fact, great contradictions in politically motivated comments as every one have seen since last year US enhanced their covert activity to weakening Pakistan using CIA's secret operations from multi directions. Simply no one can make US satisfied. At first they appeared to be against any dictatorship, on other hand they never let democracy to grow smoothly and attacks on civil govts to make them fail to persuade their war agenda any where in the World.They basically hate man in uniform because they have much better ability to deep penetrate in to the civil govts in any state to achieve their selective goals.
