8 injured in Karachi blast

KARACHI, Dec 31: At least eight people were injured when a bomb exploded soon after the midnight on Monday when the revellers were embracing the new year inside Area 51, adjacent to Marina Club in Defence Housing Authority, a senior police official said.

Police and Edhi ambulances reached the spot and started shifting the injured to hospitals. Six injured had been shifted to JPMC till our going to the press. The bomb, which was planted in a car, damaged about ten vehicles parked nearby.
