Beaconhouse students clean-sweep O & A Level exams with highest number of A grades

Students of the school came out on top in all major exams in Pakistan this year, with a total of 17,254 A*s & A grades.

July and August have seen the culmination of the immense dedication and hard work put in by Beaconhouse students from campuses across the country, as they received their academic results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), Matriculation, and CIE O and A Level examinations.

Beaconhouse class of 2017 stood out in Pakistan with a total of 17,254 A grades in O and A Levels.

Beaconhouse students were also among the top 1.3% in the IB-MYP eAssessments, and among the top 4% in the IBDP. Outstanding results were also recorded in IGCSE and Matriculation examinations.

The Beaconhouse network in Pakistan is divided into three geographical regions; north, centre and south. The Beaconhouse northern region comprises of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), northern Punjab and Islamabad, the central region is mainly central Punjab, while the southern region includes schools in southern Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.

Achievers in the northern region

In the northern region, nine Beaconhouse campuses offer the CIE A Level exam: 620 A*s and A grades were recorded in these schools. On the other hand, 3,887 A*s and A grades were recorded in the twenty-one campuses offering the CIE O Level exams.

Campuses with the top mean GPA in A Level were the Potohar Campus, FC Peshawar, and Beaconhouse All Girls campus.

Muhammad Omair of Beaconhouse Margalla Campus with 5 A*s and 1 A, Azqa Sohail of All Girls A Level with 1 A* and 4 As, and Saad Bin Saifullah & Huzaifa Bin Rashid of Beaconhouse Margalla Campus with 4 A*s and 1 A each were some of the highest achievers in the region for A Level examinations.

The highest achievers in the northern region in O Level examinations were Faraz Habib of F-11 Boys’ Campus with 7 A*s and 5 As, Daud Wasif of Wah Cantt with 5 A*s and 7 As, and Hadia Nadeem of Beaconhouse Margalla Girls Campus with 7 A*s and 4 As.

Campuses with top mean GPA in O Level were Mirpur Campus, F-11 Boys’ Campus and Beaconhouse Educational Complex (Girls’ Branch).

IGCSE Result

This year, the highest achievers in the IGCSE from Beaconhouse-Newlands Islamabad were Mirza Sheece Taimur with 2 A *s and 6 As, Syed Aoun Abbas with 1 A*s and 2 As, and Zainab Usman Khan with 2 As.

Achievers in the central region

In the central region, ten Beaconhouse campuses offer the CIE A Level examination and twenty-four campuses offer the CIE O Level examinations.

In the central region, a total of 6,448 A*s and As were recorded in O Level, while 752 A*s and As were recorded for A Level exams.

Campuses with top mean GPA in A Level within this region were Faisalabad Campus, Gujranwala Campus and Sialkot Campus.

The highest achievers in the central region in A Level include Muhammad Arqum from Beaconhouse College Campus Gulberg with 5 A*s. Mariam Altaf from Beaconhouse College Campus Gulberg, Tooba Shahid from Defence Campus and Azaan Rehman from Beaconhouse Newlands also received 4 A*s and 1 A each.

For O Level exams, the highest achievers in the Central Region were Muhammad Taha Faiz and Muhammad Hassan Saeed from Faisalabad Boys’ Campus with 13 A*s each, and Muhammad Usama from Johar Town Boys’ Campus with 9 A*s and 3 As.

As far as the campuses are concerned, Johar Town Girls’ Campus, Liberty Campus and Garden Town Campus had the top mean GPA in O Level within this region.

IGCSE Results

This year, the highest achievers in the IGCSE from TNS Beaconhouse were Muhammad Mustafa Ahmad Khan with 6 A*s and 2 As, Neelofer Ahmed with 8 As and Arooba Tu Zahra with 4 A*s and 3 As.

Achievers in the southern region

747 A*s and As were recorded in six campuses that offer A Level in the Southern Region.

Students with the highest grades were Muhammad Mustafa Javed from Beaconhouse College Campus Defence with 3 A*s and 2 As, Qazi Ali Kamal from Beaconhouse College Campus Gulshan with 3 A*s and 2 As, and Syed Zaki Muhammad from Beaconhouse College Campus Qasimabad with 3A*s and 2As.

  • Total number of As - 514

  • Students with 2 As - 67

  • Students with 3 As - 98

  • Students with 4 As & above - 48

Beaconhouse College Campus Qasimabad, Beaconhouse College Campus Defence and Beaconhouse College Campus North Nazimabad had the top mean GPA in A Level within this region.

Eleven campuses offer the O Level exam in the southern region, and the total number of A*s and As across the region was 4,800 this year.

The O Level campuses with the highest mean GPAs in the southern region were Latifabad Secondary Campus, Rahim Yar Khan Campus and Defence Campus.

Top students include Komal Nasiruddin Virani from Gulshan Cambridge with 9 A*s and 2 As, Hamza Adnan from Jubilee Campus with 7 A*s and 4 As and Syeda Momina Rizvi from Jubilee Campus with 4 A*s and 7 As.
