DERA MURAD JAMALI: An eight-year-old boy was killed after being sexually abused here on Sunday, police said.
They said the boy had been missing since Saturday morning.
His body was found in a pond on the outskirts of Dera Murad Jamali on Sunday.
They said that some people kidnapped the boy and killed him after sexually abusing him.
Police surgeon Dr Ibrahim Kandrani confirmed that the boy had been sexually abused.
He said that wounds inflicted by a dagger-like object were found on the boy’s forehead and mouth. Fingerprints were also visible on his neck, which showed that he had been strangled.
Police registered a case and took three people into custody for interrogation.

Very gruesome act. Abuse of children and domestic violence is wide spread in Pakistan. Although legislation exists but the prosecution and subsequent judicial proceeding of such crimes is very inefficient. Great work is needed to bring our criminal justice system at par with the minimum level of international standards.
