PESHAWAR: Pak Army on Sunday organised a daylong programme for the students and faculty members of Edward School and College, Islamia College and Spin Jamaat and Darwesh Mosque Madrassa to sensitise them on security and spend time with soldiers on the posts.

According to a statement issued by the ISPR here, the programme started with wreath laying ceremony at Yadgar-i-Shuhada followed by a visit to Aza Khel Dam post where they met the soldiers guarding the suburbs of Peshawar against any militant threat to the city.

The students also visited arms and equipment stalls and participated in small arms fire. The programme culminated with thrill-filled boating experience at the dam.

The students also interacted with the troops and officers and commended the sacrifices and resolve of army officers and troops in the ongoing war against terrorism.

They also thanked the army for arranging such a splendid and informative visit for them.
