According to district health officer Dr Sardar Bashir, the DCP team visited areas where the frequent suspected dengue cases were reported.

The team members also went to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital and met suspected dengue patients kept in isolation rooms. They met medical superintendent Dr Naeem Awan and discussed with him the ongoing supply of medical devices to the hospital.

Dr Sardar Bashir said a large number of suspected dengue patients were being taken to hospitals across the district but overall, the situation was under control.

He said blood samples of 68 such people had been sent to the National Institute of Health’s laboratory in Islamabad for examination.
