Nadra online

Published August 5, 2015

ON the interior minister’s directive, Nadra has taken steps to issue CNICs online. This decision should be implemented soon. Many people will benefit from this initiative.

This will be helpful for the elderly, sick and special people. Many Nadra offices are located in far-flung areas. It is difficult for sick and senior people to reach there.

With this online facility those who have already registered and issued CNICs should be given priority. Those who apply for renewal or amendment should not be asked for any formalities as their particulars are already in Nadra database.

According to the present policy, CNIC has to be renewed once a person attains the age of 60 or the card gets invalid. If these people are unable to apply online, Nadra should send its mobile units to various localities.
