Chairperson tournament organising committee Shahida Farooq said in a statement on Sunday that this tournament is another step from Subh-e-Nau for promoting the game in Pakistan.

She said that for the last 24 years, Subh-e-Nau has proved itself as a torch bearer in tennis promotion activities with a track record of hosting dozens of international, national and domestic events.

“The Clay Court tennis events were revived back in 2003 and since then these events have been regularly on annual basis,” she said.
