In pictures: Christians celebrate Easter at home as Covid-19 forces crowds away from churches

The virus forced a change in Easter traditions that had even endured wars.

Christians around the world celebrated an Easter Sunday upended by the coronavirus without the usual crowded church Masses and large family gatherings. Instead, they turned to the internet, television and radio from home to follow services that noted the grave impact of the pandemic.

Some found novel ways to mark the holy day. Others still assembled in groups, but took precautions to try to avoid infection. The virus forced a change in Easter traditions that had even endured wars.

But no matter how divergent the celebrations, the message from church leaders around the world remained consistent: prayers for the sick and dead and reassurances of God's presence.

I would like to thank you Mr Emran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan for his Appeal about the forgiving of loans to developing countries like Pakistan etc. I wish the UN and the developed World as well as the monetary Institutions to positively reply to Pakistani Prime Minister,s Appeal. In Addition, I highly appreciate the marriage of the two experienced Pakistani Radio staffs who married at the age of over 70, it is not a vehemsicle, Shahwani or Shaitani move, but it is the expression of a real love, the wholehearted love. And I proposed they should be given an International Award of real and unique lovers in the World. i , personally wish them a happy time for their remaining life. I call them the heroes of real love.
