Muslims throughout the world are marking the month of Ramazan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar during which Muslims fast from dawn until dusk.

When Ramazan begins, Muslim observers enter into a period of discipline and worship: fasting during the day, and praying throughout the day and night.

Ramazan is a time to detach from worldly pleasures and focus on one's inner self.
