Sarfaraz Ahmad, captain of the Quetta Gladiators, on Tuesday said his team would play the first playoff match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as if it is the semi-final.

While talking to DawnNews, Sarfaraz said: "We will go into the game with a positive mindset, as if it is the semi-final, and try to win the game."

"We have had a good run in this season. Most of our matches have been interesting, except that one match that was watched out," Sarfaraz said.

"In the last two matches, we had to fight hard. For example, in the last match, we had to defend a very small total — which we did, successfully. So the team has gelled well and we are in a positive frame of mind," he concluded.

Quetta Gladiators will be facing off against Peshawar Zalmi in the first play-off of the league, to be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Feb 28.
