Fatima Fertilizer hosts Sarsabz Kissan Convention in Multan to boost wheat productivity
Fatima Fertilizer, in collaboration with the Punjab Agriculture Department, organised the Sarsabz Kissan Convention in Multan, which brought together more than 1,300 farmers. The event served as an important platform for discussing innovative and sustainable practices aimed at improving wheat yields and overall agricultural productivity.
The purpose of this farmers’ seminar was to recognise and encourage farmers who secured first, second and third positions in the government’s wheat high-yield competition at the provincial level, as well as the 97 top three district-level positions, all achieved through the use of Sarsabz Nitrophos and Sarsabz CAN fertilisers. The event also aimed to inspire other farmers to adopt these products to enhance their wheat yields and profits.
Experts and technical representatives from Fatima Fertilizer emphasised the balanced use of fertilisers, particularly Sarsabz Nitrophos and Sarsabz CAN, which have demonstrated significant results in improving soil fertility and achieving a 10 per cent or higher per-acre increase in crop yield.
Speaking at the occasion, Rabel Sadozai, the director of marketing and sales at Fatima Fertilizer, stated, “Through initiatives like the Sarsabz Kissan Convention, we are reinforcing our commitment to supporting Pakistan’s farmers by providing them access to high-quality products such as Sarsabz Nitrophos and Sarsabz CAN, along with on-ground advisory services. Our goal is to help farmers achieve higher yields, improve soil health and contribute to a more sustainable and self-sufficient agricultural ecosystem.”
The convention was attended by senior officials from the Punjab Agriculture Department, including the Secretary of Agriculture, Punjab, Iftikhar Ali Sahoo; the Special Secretary of Agriculture for Southern Punjab, Sarfraz Hussain Magsi; the Vice Chancellor of MNS University, Professor Dr Asif Ali; the President of Pakistan Kisan Ittehad, Khalid Mehmood Khokhar; the Commissioner of Multan Division, Amir Karim Khan; the Deputy Commissioner of Multan, Wasim Hamed Sindhu; the Member of the Provincial Assembly, Punjab, Rana Iqbal Saraj; the Member of the Agriculture Committee, Punjab, Rana Ejaz Ahmad Noon; the Director General of Agriculture Extension, Punjab, Chaudhry Abdul Hameed; the Director General of Pest Warning, Punjab, Dr Aamir Rasool; and the Director of Agriculture Extension for Multan Division, Shehzad Saber.
As part of the recognition programme, Fatima Fertilizer announced awards for top-performing farmers. Farmers securing the first, second and third positions at the provincial level were awarded tractors, while district-level winners received CD 70 motorcycles and LCDs. These prizes were presented by Sadozai and Ali Sahoo as a token of appreciation for the farmers’ outstanding contribution to improving wheat productivity.
The Sarsabz Kissan Convention forms part of Fatima Fertilizer’s ongoing efforts to empower farmers with knowledge and high-performance fertiliser solutions. The initiative aims to drive productivity, support Pakistan’s agricultural sector and contribute to national economic growth. The event also highlighted that the use of Sarsabz Nitrophos and Sarsabz CAN not only enhances farmers’ income but also plays a crucial role in strengthening food security across the country.
