In pictures: Pakistan celebrates 75 years of independence

People decked in greens and whites participate in marches in different cities to celebrate the country’s diamond jubilee.

The nation celebrated 75 years of independence on Sunday with commemorative ceremonies held in different cities today.

Citizens and government dignitaries flocked to the mausoleum of the Quaid-i-Azam to pay their respects to the country's founder.

Meanwhile, the customary exchange of sweets was held at the Wagah border with the Indian side.

People decked in greens and whites participated in marches in different cities to celebrate the country's diamond jubilee while children sang patriotic and national songs at various singing events.
