Singer and guitarist Bilal Maqsood remembered legendary Indian artist Maqbool Fida Hussain on his 10th death anniversary with a sweet anecdote. Taking to Instagram, he reminisced about the time his son, Mikael Maqsood, sketched Hussain.

He also had pictures of the event. The first showed his son Mikael, then eight years old, sitting across from Hussain and sketching him in a notebook.

The second showed the small but impressive sketch with Hussain's signature on it. The third photo features Hussain sketching and Mikael sitting by his side. Hussain was so flattered, Maqsood revealed, that he made his son a painting in return.

Maqsood is a painter himself, so it's not surprising that his son is also into it — let alone confident and skilled enough to not only sketch Hussain but also impress him with his work. Maqsood has been sharing his 'crow series' on Instagram.

Hussain was a prolific Indian painter who rose to great fame and admiration globally. He is widely regarded as the most internationally influential, recognised and celebrated Indian artist of the last century.

With his modified cubic style of painting, he grew to great fame with his paintings of Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi and multiple Hindu deities. Hussain established himself as a painter working with Bollywood and painted film posters and billboards. Towards the latter part of his life, he had accepted Qatari nationality and lived his life in self-exile. He came to be viewed as highly controversial with his paintings of Hindu deities, who were often displayed naked, and was accused of hurting religious sentiments.
