Pakistan Pavilion all set to showcase opportunities in tourism, commerce & investment at Expo 2020 Dubai

Key media officials from TDAP, trustees of Expo 2020 and advisory committee were invited to the fundraiser event.

A curtain raiser event for Pakistan Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai was held at a local hotelin Karachi on Sunday, June 20, 2021; key media officials from the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), trustees from patrons of Expo 2020, and the Advisory Committee attended the event.  

The Pakistan Pavilion and its logo for Expo 2020 Dubai were unveiled to the media. Under the theme 'The Hidden Treasure', with an inviting façade and an immersive walk through experience, it aims to showcase Pakistan's vast opportunities in tourism and commerce & investment to the expected 25 million global audiences.

The Expo 2020 will be held in Dubai, UAE from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, under the theme of 'Connecting Minds, Creating the Future'. 

Hosting the first World Expo in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region, the expo presents an endless opportunity to inspire, empower and drive lasting positive environmental, social and economic change on a global scale.

A total participation of 192 countries is expected at the event and each one of them will represent their strongest potential to the world.   Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, Minister of Information & Broadcasting stated, “This is a great opportunity for Pakistan to show its immense potential to the world”.

Abdul Razak Dawood, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Commerce & Investment, also spoke and informed us that our Pavilion will attract investors and tourists to Pakistan.

Many interesting details about the inner journey of the Pakistan Pavilion were shared. It was explained that the expo will be divided into eight key spaces where visitors will experience Pakistan’s best-kept hidden treasures. Visitors will be taken on a voyage through time, from the world’s first recorded civilisations to the fast-paced millennium of today which includes virtual experiences of our breathtaking landscapes, cultural and religious diversity, rich artisan traditions, and strong economic potentials presented in the world of today. Pakistan will present itself as a land of opportunities for commerce and investment. 

Also inside is a Pakistani cuisine restaurant by the name of 'The Dhabba' and a souvenir shop that will be waiting for the visitors at the ending of their journey through the Pakistan pavilion; depicting our impeccable crafts and providing a taste of some of the most sumptuous cuisine from all corners of the country.

Through the six months of Expo 2020 Dubai, there will be many cultural events and business seminars held in multi-purpose halls of the pavilion.
