Faran Tahir, famous for his roles in Iron Man, Star Trek and Grey’s Anatomy is all set to shine at the world premiere of I’ll Meet You There alongside veteran icon Muhammad Qavi Khan, Nikita Tewani and Sheetal Sheth.

The film is the first of its kind official Pakistan-USA co-production, which will explore the struggles of a Muslim cop and his relationship with his daughter.

Speaking to Images, executive producer Abid Aziz Merchant shared, “It's a family drama following the father-daughter journey of Majeed, a Chicago policeman, and Dua, his teenage ballerina daughter. Eager for a raise, Majeed is cherry-picked to go undercover in a mosque for a special FBI co-assignment.”

“Shortly after, Baba, Majeed’s long-estranged father, shows up unannounced from Pakistan and urges Dua to question her passion for dance in the name of religion. The family explores new truths about their present, past, and future until everything comes to a head in a surprise bait and switch by the FBI.”

Nominated for the Grand Jury Award, the film is selected from 2,316 feature-length film submissions, with a total of 8,362 films submitted this year, and will be shown amongst 102 features and episodes across nine days.

This year, the gala is scheduled to take place from 13 March - 22 March and the full length 90-min feature is set to premiere on 16 March, 2020.

Directed by Iram Parveen Bilal, the film has been produced under the banner of Parveen Shah Productions USA, in collaboration with Sanat Initiative Pakistan (Abid Aziz Merchant) and Oscar nominee, Heather Rae.
