Not good for the industry to release all the films on Eid, says Shaan Shahid

The actor questioned why Pakistan's best movies are released on the same day.

Shaan Shahid has something to say about the number of Eid releases we're getting this year.

It all started when a psyched Faysal Qureshi tweeted about his excitement about what's in store for us all on Eid-Ul-Azha.

Th actor gave a shout-out to the upcoming films Heer Maan Ja, Superstar and Parey Hut Love talking about how fun Eid will be.

But Shaan had something else in mind.

Replying to Qureshi's tweet, he wrote, "Not good for the industry to release all the films on the same day. The industry needs more films not Eid releases."

He added, "These are the best films coming out this year and all spent in one day."

We have to say, Shaan does make a good point. Our entertainment industry has come far enough to not depend on Eid releases to make a film work.

When a fan pointed out the fact that movies take advantage of the holidays that come with Eid, Shaan made a point about a film's quality speaking for itself, saying, "Good films create viewership and all these films are good as gold. They should separately release them."

In fact, Shaan even revealed that he stopped his own movie from being an Eid release!

"[Zarrar] was coming out on Eid but not anymore as I feel it is crucial for us to plan for the industry, not just for us."

While Shaan didn't have to respond to Faysal Qureshi's tweet, his critique doe make sense here. We still want more details on Zarrar though!

Shaan should produce or star in a movie that is made on modern techniques. This will revive his career.

Shaan is right. For a long time I had been thinking what was the fun in releasing all films on a Friday, our most important of religious day of the week? It was not even a weekend before, when Saturday was a full working day.

Replying to Qureshi's tweet, he wrote, "Not good for the industry to release all the films on the same day. The industry needs more films not Eid releases." Why not, making movies is business and watching movies is entertainment. Makers make based on their affordability and viewers watch it based on their availability. Artificial restrictions are unnecessary .

Shaan is right. Eid releases diminishes the value of Art. Let them shine a different times.

The producers and directers and artists all should meet every 3 months to , to think out of the box ,the PFI , is emerging ,needs more great efforts ,on all fronts ! However ,3 films over the holiday is a good thing ,gives public chance to enjoy!

The people who put their own money know how to reap it. Trust the intellect of the investor. If the investor knowingly knows that he would suffer a loss then who are others to give him advise.

Absolutely right, all three films are gold and deserve separate releases.
