Ranveer Singh is known for being all over the place, but for the first time he was at the right place, at the right time.

During the Pakistan-India match this weekend, the Pakistani cricket team put up an abysmal performance and fans were gutted, luckily for one Pakistani fan he got a shoulder to cry on from Bollywood star Ranveer Singh... it doesn't get any better than this.

'Comedian and nice guy' Aatif Nawaz who was present at the match shed a tear or two when the team lost and Ranveer Singh quickly came to the rescue offering to console the sad fan. The comedian made a video and posted it on Twitter with caption, "Indian fans are nice. Thanks Ranveer".

Instead of rubbing the win in Nawaz's face Ranveer said, "There's always next time, Don't be disheartened the boys played well. Boys are committed, dedicated, professionals and they'll be back."

Will they be back? Who knows, but Pakistanis instantly fell in love with the actor.

Some responded to the video saying, "A very kind gesture of Ranveer. Won many a Pakistani hearts by his words and action..." and "How can you hate this guy?"

I met Ranveer Singh in Mesuit Ozil, German international & Arsenal footballer’s box in Arsenal stadium last year. I did not know he was such a famous actor but he was very nice and polite to me. Usually show business people have a big ego but this guy was natural and down to earth. Love him for this gesture towards a Pakistani.

@Shahid Akram Totally in agreement with you, brother. Let's look forward hopefully to a day when we will be able to visit each other freely and share our love and affection. Any Indian who has visited Pakistan will always remember and praise the affection showered on them. Lots of love and respect from India.

Actually people of both countries are like brothers but both sides have their own frustrations so like two brothers falling to rumors and becoming prey to political lies ....they also argue and fight.

Most of the Indians and Pakistanis have goodwill to each other, due to some people, who create problems make both sides tensed. Hope the game of cricket to make both countries again nearer. Of course Ranveer is kind and awesome guy. Like this fellow, in India, millions are there, who love everyone. Wishing all the best for both the countries to progress well in future.

At least let the two teams start playing bilateral series once a year. People will not mind a loss here and there and in case one team is regularly losing too, no problem. There was a decade when India usually lost but bilateral tours went on and on.

Pakistan is obsessed with cricket. Havens are not falling, if there is defeat. Govt should dissuade people from this cricket mania. National economic growth is important, rather than false prestige. Winning or loosing in games is cyclical Phases for any country. After all it is game.

It was just a game and nothing else. Pakistan has defeated India badly consistently over the years so its just happens in the sports that the better team wins. I can only congratulate India and say try again with more passion to Pakistan team and hope that peace and love blossom between two neighbors.

I think Pakistani fans and experts have been very unfair to their team. Have we forgotten how badly Pakistan defeated England? This time they just played very bad, thus it was not a fun match to watch. Otherwise, traditionally Pakistan always had excellent cricket teams. And they will bounce back with big bang!

@Shahid Akram Very true. I was truly touched by the gesture of both Indian and Pakistani fans after the game. I could see them hugging each other and Pakistani fans were congratulating Indian fans. Even during the game, all slogan shoutings were limited to the game only. When one person raised the usual political slogan, the rest of the fans just shut him off. Wonder if this kind of behavior is seen at other venues like Sharjah.

I couldnt leave without giving him a warm hug. We, Indians and Pakistani share a common unique heritage, which is rare and extraordinary in the history. @AsIf jamil I think when fans build people up and start worshipping them like almost Gods, there is a chance that some become arrogant and think they are better. But many celebs are probably just regular people and down to earth. I don't care whether you are a celeb or not. Nothing fazes me. We are all humans. Celeb or not
