India's hit Netflix series Sacred Games has been greenlit for a second season, according to an official announcement by the popular online streaming site.

The upcoming season will see Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui reprise their roles as cop Sartaj Singh and gangster Ganesh Gaitonde respectively.

What we know about season 2's storyline is that Sartaj still has 14 days remaining (of the 25 that Ganesh says he has to save the city). Ganesh's third father will play a pivotal role. In the first season,

Anurag Kashyap will continue to direct Nawazuddin’s track and Neeraj Ghaywan (of Masaan fame) will take over from Vikramaditya Motwane to direct Sartaj Singh’s track, reports Indian Express. However, Vikramaditya will continue serving as the showrunner and lead writer Varun Grover is also on board for season 2.

Like before, the second season will be shot in India and various international locations as well.

Sacred Games second season's release date has not been announced.
