Jennifer Aniston will play America's first female president in upcoming Netflix movie
Jennifer Aniston will play United States of America’s first woman and lesbian president in Netflix’s upcoming television movie First Ladies.
As reported by Variety, Netflix has finally acquired the rights to the film, after a competitive bidding war, starring Aniston and Tig Notaro in lead roles, the latter playing her wife and first lady.
Now this is a POTUS we can get behind!
The political comedy will trace the life of President Beverly Nicholson and her wife Kasey after they move into the White House. It reportedly aims to show that “that behind every great woman is another great woman”.
The movie has been written by Notaro and her wife Stephanie Allynne.
First Ladies marks Aniston’s second collaboration with the streaming platform. She is set to appear opposite Adam Sandler in the Netflix comedy Murder Mystery.
