Britain's Prince Harry and US TV star Meghan Markle tied the knot at the St George Chapel on Saturday as the whole world watched on.

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, who performed wedding ceremony, said the couple were “very sensible” and “self-possessed”.

“There's profound affection between them which is wonderful and a deep understanding and mutual support,” he said.

The couple met on a blind date in July 2016 and had a whirlwind romance, criss-crossing the Atlantic as she continued filming in Toronto.

Prince Harry, the youngest son of the late Princess Diana, is one of the most popular royals, while Markle, a divorcee, is seen as a breath of fresh air for the monarchy.

Catherine Middleton beans Megan Markle hands down in terms of grace, beauty, poise, and charm. . Megan becomes the oldest among the (immediate & new Royals) ... she is born August 4th 1981; then comes Catherine Middleton born 5 months after her on Jan 9th 1982, and is married to Prince William who is 5.5 Months younger to her (June 21 1982) and last come Prince Harry born on 15th Sept 1984 (almost 37 months younger to Megan). . This is Megan Markles 2nd Marriage - and she seems luckier than before.

@SS . He (the prince) has broken the stereotype status quo values that many around the world nuture and hold good. That is what brings a breath of freshness to this marriage. Many around the world have been indoctrinated reading fairy tales, like snow white etc. where the color of the skin was made much off. This marriage has brought values which were not acceptable even a few years back, that is a change for the better, at least I think so. Great photographs, Dawn.
