Very sad to hear this news. RIP all the passengers.

Another accident, another investigation and another botch of things. The history will repeat itself and we will cover it like Air blue and Bhoja and Shaheen air missed calls. The chairman PIA started the well known process by saying that "technical problems do happen", no evidence of human or technical error (all this without investigation).

I am still in shock and mourning. RIP JJ and all.

Prayers that God in his infinite mercy shower forgiveness on departed souls and give strength to their families to bear the loss.

This plane every day pass over my home in the early morning and returned cross approx. 415 to 430 PM . I lived in G8/2 Islamabad. As my only interest is aviation , I must come on my terrace every day to see that particular plane daily . Sad Day. Today I stand same time but no plane cross over . Very Sad .

@Mujahid I doubt that they knowingly allowed a faulty aeroplane to fly. Things can go wrong since its a machine. Please don't ridicule and point fingers just like that. While it is true that PIA needs structuring, I think our whole country needs to be restructured starting with ending corruption. May the souls of 45 people rest in peace ...

Very sad incident but in my view PIA is responsible as they used substandard plane for domestic flights as the same are not allowed for international routes.Think about those people who missed/lost their relatives dear one in this high tragic accident i Request to GOVT and PIA authority to make sure run only those aeroplane who meet with world international quality and standard and also bring in court to those PIA officials who allow this type of worst aeroplane on flight route .BELIEVE OR NOT SINCE LAST NIGHT I COULD NOT TAKE MEAL AND SLEEP DUE TO THIS IRREVOCKABLE LOSS OF INNOCENT PASSANGER OF THIS UNFORTUNATE FLIGHT.GOD GIVE US COURAGE TO BEAR THIS LOSS AND KEEP INREST AND PEACE ALL DEPARTED SOULS IN HEAVEN. I understand from little research that PIA have very low ranking in safety. I hope we learn our lessons and going forward we do things the right way.

I have somehow been connected with the PIA Pilots andEnigineers for last45 yrs and always found both at poles apart on the fitness of the aircraft. I always sided with the pilots as their lives were at stake not the engineers. I think we should have a system in PIA one ground engineer certfiying the fitness and air worthiness of the aircraft before take off. If something happens to the aircraft the same person should to held resposible and punished accordingly, head of ground engineering and chairman be sacked.

Its all disteney. May Almighty God give strength to family members to cope up with loss.

Lack of accountabilty from all concerned people.

We should rethink about our self regulated religious practices vs safety in air transportation .Air blue crash was due to pilot error. The pilot Chaudry was medically unfit, he had heart disease and high blood pressure issues related to his health.He was praying all night long after landed in Karachi from Jeddah on lyal Ul Qadar night and did not sleep as recommended by Airline guidelines .Pilots make the final call on whether it's safe to land a plane in bad weather or land it safely at another airport.

@flipflop the whole country need constructioning and ending corruption but that's another story that will never happen in Pakistan. As for Pia planes I would never travel in one as they all need getting rid of as all faulty machines no proper checks done in that country there's always some incident occurring day in day out. They charge u a bomb for tickets and through out the year yet they provide crap service and travelling journey horrendous that's pia for u.its about time something is done otherwise more lives will b lost,

For God Sake... I request you to STOP making Local Aircraft Parts from Precision Engineering Workshop run under umbrella of PIA. Procure original parts which are Federal Aviation Administration FAA approved. May God Bless PIA Travellers.

BBC news wrote, "Plane crashes are not uncommon in Pakistan". so sad that there is no value of human life in Pakistan. I am a frequent traveller through out the world. When i chnged the airline and took a PIA plane at Manchester airport to Lahore. I heard funny and unfamiliar noise in the plane engine when it was taking off. The corruption inside the PIA is the real cause of frequent plane crashes in Pakistan. EU once band PIA for security issues. Most Pakistanis travel in Arab and Turkish airlines. Let these airlines take over domestic business as well. I hate to say that but I wish I could say RIP PIA. Finally my thoughts and prayers are with the victims

Action must be taken against authorities/responsible people because of their negligence such mishap happens. I am really surprised to see how PIA authorizes are repairing the aircraft i saw a abandoned air craft few days ago near air port vicinity Karachi , which is being repaired engine is attached on wings of aircraft with labors and workers without proper team/environment/equipment machinery of engineers. workers are working i just saw labors polishing and adjusting plan parts accordingly no check and balance ,this is one of the reason why such incidents happen.

It has been one year since the accident, do we have an official report about what caused the crash yet? Or like other investigations, this one is also swept under the rug.

What did the black box show? Any report of the cause of this crash?

Any kind of corruption beside but please never ignore a tinny thing when going to check up the plane technically before the flight, ignorance of a moment can take hundreds of lives with out no time.

Sad event but no one asked to properly investigate the allegations leveled against flight operator. If there was investigation, will we see the report in our life time?
