In the 11th fixture of the second edition of Pakistan Super League, Lahore Qalandars played Quetta Gladiators for the second time in this tournament, but the outcome wasn't much different — a nail-biting encounter that finished with Quetta being the winners.

Chasing the 201-run mammoth target set by Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators kept losing wickets at regular intervals in the first half of their innings. However, Kevin Pietersen and Gladiators' skipper Sarfraz Ahmed steadied their ship.

Pietersen hammered 88* off 42 balls and turned the match around for Gladiators. Sarfraz contributed with 45 runs off 25 balls to set the course for victory.

Earlier, Qalandars scored 200 for the loss of three wickets, with Jason Roy, Fakhar Zaman and Rizwan doing the bulk of scoring.

Fakhar Zaman and Jason Roy opened the batting for Qalandars and managed to put 77 runs on board for the first wicket partnership.

Jason Roy was the first to depart. He scored 51 off 27 balls before being bowled by Hassan Khan in the seventh over.

Fakhar Zaman scored 47 off 31 balls before Zulfiqar Babar got him caught at deep midwicket.

Mohammad Rizwan remained unbeaten on 46 while Cameron Delport was also not out on 35 off 21 balls.

The last time when both teams played each other it was a nail biting encounter which ended in favour of Gladiators.
