Heavily-armed militants wearing suicide vests stormed a police academy in Quetta, killing at least 59 people and wounding dozens more in one of the deadliest extremist attacks this year.

Three gunmen burst into the sprawling academy, targeting sleeping quarters home to some 700 recruits, sending terrified young men fleeing. “I saw three men in camouflage whose faces were hidden carrying Kalashnikovs,” one cadet told reporters.

Innalilahe Va Inna Illihe Rajiun. So, sad to see budding defenders of our society crushed like that. But at the same times, it raises questions. Is NAP ineffective? Why were the security arrangements of a facility that has been targeted twice before not bolstered?

Sad and tragic and we should not differentiate between good and bad taliban. Strict action should be taken across all terrorist irrespective of anything. NAP should be taken out in whole country and instead of waiting that these terrorist should attack us rather we should attack their hideouts and kill them brutally the way they killed our innocent people. This is just another attempt by the Afghans to destabilize Pakistan. Our government now need to send a message to Afghani authorities to actually join the fight against terror. Pakistan has bled enough cleaning up the mess created by Afghanistan

Alarming incident. Such terror should be annihilated without any mercy. Whatever the differences, killing of uninvolved people is unpardonable. BTW, when things are like this in Pakistan, why the constant unrelenting focus on Kashmir? Isn't it time to solve the problem at home?

Very very sad to see such photographs capturing mayhem and violence. Sadder still is the apathy of not just the general public for such periodic violence, but also that of the Government. Time to hold someone accountable and stop pretending that nothing has happened. This has to stop but never will if a selective approach continues. Ailment needs major surgery, not band-aid treatment.

Can you imagine just 2 persons entered the Police Training Center through main gate. I think the commandant and security incharge of the training center should be immediately arrested for negligence of duty and/or involved in the attack.
