KARACHI, April 30: Another five ships carrying crude oil, general cargo and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side, thanks to steady arrivals. As a result, seven ships, Sima Bahar, MOL Sincerity, APL Mexico to unload and load containers, Banglar Mookh to offload raw jute, Commo-Je-Jimenez to offload crude oil, Oriental Lily to load naptha and Bow Viking to load molasses were berthed after the departure of three.
The ships, which departed included Global Prosperity, Min He, and Nur Yanbu, while Mar Challenger, APL Mexico, Hyundai Highway, Commo-Je-Jimenez, Astor, Sima Bahaar and Bow Viking are due to sail out on Thursday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where a total tonnage of 77,623 tons comprising 21,831 tons of export cargo, including 1,015 tons of rice and 55,792 tons of import cargo.
The following ships are due on Thursday and Friday: Sorena, with crude oil, Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed, Bunga MasduaWan Hai-305, with containers and Falal, with general cargo.
