OKARA, March 23: Two women were abducted and raped in different parts of the district during the last 24 hours.
In Hujra Shah Muqeem, Abdul Jabbar abducted the daughter of a farmer when she was returning to her house. He forcibly took her away to nearby fields and raped her.
Five armed men forced their entry into a house in Rajowal and forcibly took a married woman in a car.
Sajjad Ahmad, Suleman and their three unidentified accomplices also beat up the family when they put up resistance. The accused raped her and escaped after throwing her in fields.
The girl had been living with her parents after developing differences with her husband.
Police have registered separate cases.
GOATS TAKEN AWAY: A farmer was deprived of his goats in Zafar Ali village near Basirpur.
Seven unidentified men forced their entry into the house of Ahmad Ali. They took him to the cattle shed at gunpoint, loaded his goats, worth Rs125,000, in a wagon (No LXP 3223) and drove away.
