ST GEORGE’S (Grenada), March 20: The International Cricket Council’s security adviser has determined that Grenada’s facilities are safe, officials said .

Bob Smalley visited this Caribbean island two days late last month to inspect the Queen’s Park Stadium, which was built in 1999 and has hosted several one-day internationals since then, the Grenada Cricket Association said.

West Indies is scheduled to play Australia at the venue in a pair of One-day Internationals on May 30 and June 1.

Smalley reviewed general safety at the stadium and wanted to ensure that crowd access to players would be restricted to meet the standards of London-based ICC.—APP/AP
