KARACHI, March 19: Three tankers carrying chemicals, gas oil and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, MOL Sincerity, APL Salian to unload and load containers, Shirvan to unload crude oil and Stolt Vinland to offload aviation gas were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed were led by Honor River, Challenger Express, Spring Virgo, Berge Frost and Stolt Vinland departed, while Sibi, APL Salian, Regene, Hyundai Sprinter, Shirvan and PONL Malindi are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was moderate where a total tonnage of 58,172 tons comprising 16,227 tons of export cargo including 2,125 tons of rice and 41,945 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Stolt Alliance, with chemicals, Spectrum with gas oil and Appride to load molasses.

Port Qasim

KARACHI, March 19: Two ships scheduled to load and offload containers and edible oil were allotted berths at QICT and Multipurpose Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Berth occupancy remained modest as four ships, Safmarine Kimely, Abdoun Discover, Chemstar Eagle and Sea Magnolia were busy in loading/ offloading containers, furnace oil, edible oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 40,390 tons comprising 28,948 tons of import cargo and 11,390 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Abdoun Discovery departed, while Safmarine Kimely and Sea Magnolia were due to leave the port.

Three ships, Oman, Miraj and Stolt Sakra were expected to take berths QICT, Fotco Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal, while Cos Hero was due to arrive at the port on Wednesday.
