HYDERABAD, Dec 1: The Sindh University has decided that admissions in B.Ed and M.Ed off campus programme will be held on the basis of pre-entry test and the practical, workshops and fieldwork will be monitored by the university.
The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held here on Friday which discussed ways and means to ensure the quality of education of B.Ed and M.Ed off campus programme of the university.
The meeting discussed the course, field work and workshops for the off campus programme and decided that the dean faculty of education as well as directorate of NFDEC off campus programme will pay surprise visits (at least quarterly) to all the centres.
The meeting decided that examiners would be invited from other universities of Pakistan to examine the students of the off campus programme.
The meeting decided that admissions in the B.Ed and M.Ed off campus programme will be held only through pre-entry test.
It was decided that the assessment of examination papers of the off campus programme would be centralized.
The meeting also decided that during the examinations and the workshops a detailed programme should be provided to the vice chancellor’s office and the vice chancellor himself will also pay surprise visits at the centres.
SAU: The Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam, has said that second term examinations were scheduled to be held with effect from Jan 23, 2002, for which 75 per cent attendance was mandatory.
