KARACHI, March 12: Expressing concern over increasing incidents of altercation involving commuters and public transport operators, Jamaat-i-Islami on Wednesday criticized the decision of fare-hike and demanded of the government to reverse the decision and reduce petroleum prices.

Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui, city chief of the JI, termed the fare-hike ‘an extreme injustice with Karachiites’ and pointed out that the same fare structure was not implemented in other cities of the country.—PPI
