HYDERABAD, Nov 28: More than 50 ex-employees of Sindh Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) staged a protest demonstration and six workers observed token hunger strike outside the Hyderabad Press Club here on Wednesday against the non-payment of their outstanding dues.

Addressing the rally, the office-bearers of the ex-employees action committee, Abdur Rasheed Siyal, Harrison David and others, said that they had addressed many letters to the federal and provincial government authorities drawing their attention towards the plight of the poor employees but in vain.

They said that they had now been protesting for 11 months for their legal rights but all their protests had fallen on deaf ears.
