GILGIT, Feb 19: At least three children of a family were killed in fire that erupted at Harcho refugee camp, Astore valley, on Tuesday, police sources said.
Sources added that a fire broke out when strong uprooted refugee tents on Tuesday set up for the quake-affected people, killing three children Riaz, aged 10, his 3-year-old brother and 6-year-old sister. The victims were said to be children of one Shahwali resident of Astore.
Police said that in Baltistan heavy snowfall and avalanches caused seven deaths in the border areas.—Staff Correspondent
