KARACHI, Feb 19: Five ships carrying containers and high speed diesel and to load naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing on the wharves was relatively slow where only one ship, Nur Yanbo to offload chemicals was berthed but sailing on the other hand was fairly large.
Ten ships, Beauty River, Iron-D, Sima Bahar, PONL Singapore, Steel Glory, Anna, Badula Valley, Bow Lady, W.S.Berber and Team Neptune departed, while Manhattan Bridge and Astor are due to sail out on Thursday.
The total tonnage fell to 43,612 tons comprising 9,124 tons of export cargo including 1,093 tons of rice and 34,488 tons of import cargo.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Action Express, with high speed diesel, Medimar to load naphtha, Al-Ihsaa, Mar Challenger and Kota Teraju, with containers.

Five vessels, Contship Innovator, Attila, Bunga Sagalima, Sea Pride-II and Sea Magnolia were busy in loading/discharging containers, general cargo, furnace oil and iron ore.
A cargo volume of 62,036 tons comprising 55,984 tons of import cargo and 6,052 tons of export cargo inclusive of cargo carried in 409 containers was handled.
Contship Innovator and Sea Pride-II were expected to leave the port on Wednesday, while Sardina and Maeva were due to take berths at QICT.
Five vessels, Msc Camille, EDCO Star, Keiko and Andros were awaiting berths at the outer anchorage.
