HYDERABAD, Feb 16: Two brothers of Badin district have appealed to authorities concerned to provide protection to their families against excesses of the local police.
Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Sunday, Sher Mohammad Chang and Abdullah Chang said Aslam Memon, Maharuddin and Malik Akhtar, who they claimed were supported by the police, were trying to take over the possession of their house.
They said two false cases were registered against them by the Golarchi SHO, Ayoub Bhatti, and they were being harassed.
They said their cousin, Hafeezullah, was tortured by the SHO and the other accused. They took him away and his whereabouts were not known, the brothers added.
They said they had made written complaints to the Badin district Nazim, DPO, Sindh governor, chief minister and other authorities concerned but they failed to take any notice of the matter.
The brothers demanded a case should be registered against the SHO and his henchmen.
They said they had given a call for strike in Golarchi town for Feb 17.
