MIRPURKHAS: One killed in shootout

MIRPURKHAS, Feb 11: One person was killed and an unspecified number of others were injured on Monday night in a shootout between two groups of the Korai community.

The incident is said to have been sparked by a dispute over a piece of land in Deh 340 in the Digri taluka.

According to reports, the Maher Khan, 55, son of Jato Korai, was killed on the spot in the armed clash.

Jhuddo police have registered an FIR against Javed, Sajid, Wasim, Mazhar, Abid, Basheer, Liaquat, Munawar, Zahid and Sufi.

ACCIDENT: A 20-year-old man, Ali Ahmed, son of Mir Khan Ahmadani, was killed on Monday night after being hit by a coach (MNN-6972) on the Mirpurkhas-Digri road near Al-Abbas Sugar Mill.
