HYDERABAD, Feb 7: The members of the Sindh Journalists Organization (SJO) observed a token hunger strike outside the press club here on Thursday.
They were protesting against the arrest of Awami Awaz Jati reporter Dildar Samijo and New Saeedabad reporter Sohbat Oad, and registration of a false case against Kawish representative Zahid Soomro.
They threatened to enlarge the scope of their protest if the journalists were not released and the false cases against them were not withdrawn.
SACRIFICIAL ANIMALS: Latifabad Taluka Nazim here on Thursday announced a contract had been awarded for the sale of sacrificial animals.
He said a place near the Auto Bhan Road, unit-7, had been designated as the cattle market and warned action would be taken against those who were found selling animals at other places.
