Bomb hoax

RAWALPINDI, Feb 6: More than 700 students were forced to vacate their classrooms on Thursday after an anonymous caller threatened the principal that a bomb had been planted in the school building.

Mohammad Nasir, the principal of the Anglo-Arabic Secondary School, called the police after he received the call. After the threat was received, about 750 students were asked by teachers to leave their classes and assemble in a ground without giving them a reason behind it.

The bomb disposal experts from the Civil Defence department searched the school building and termed it a “hoax call” after they failed to find any explosive.—Staff Reporter
