ISLAMABAD, Feb 4: A network of volunteers will be established for the rehabilitation of special people in the country.

“A mechanism will be devised in this regard according to which people, willing to offer their services, will be registered,” said Parveen Qadir Agha, the secretary for the ministry of women development, social welfare and special education, in a meeting with a team of Japanese volunteers led by Dr Yoriko Taguchi, the technical adviser of Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV), here on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the official said Japan had been the key partner in the social sector of Pakistan and both the countries had been fruitfully sharing their experiences since a long.

She said the rehabilitation of the special people to integrate them in the mainstream was one of the prime objective of the ministry.
