CHARSADDA, Jan 31: The Awami National Party’s former provincial president Begum Nasim Wali Khan has ruled out the possibility of the ANP’s merger or alliance with the National Awami Party Pakistan (NAPP) of Ajmal Khattak.
Talking to Dawn by telephone here on Friday, Nasim Wali said that the ANP was a democratic party, where the decisions were always taken collectively and not by an individual. No individual or leader could dictate or impose any decision on the party, she said.
About any alliance among the nationalist forces, she said that the experience of such alliances was not very heartening. “However, if any party wanted to merge into the ANP, we will welcome it,” she said.—Correspondent
