DADU, Jan 26: The federal government has tightened security measures at the Lasmo camp located at Bhit Jabal and the camp of BHP company near Johi.
Contingents of rangers, police and private security guards have been deployed at the BHP’s Zamzama gas field and Zamzama phase-I at Johi and Lasmo’s Bhit Jabal projects.
The Dadu district administration has decided to take stern action against anyone creating disturbance near the oil and gas projects. The local youth had been demonstrating for jobs in the multinational oil and gas exploration companies.
SEMINAR: The Taluka Nazim of Dadu, Syed Zafar Ali Shah, has blamed the land lords of the Sindh for the rising incidents of Karo-Kari (honour killings), saying the government should enact laws immediately to eradicate these murders.
He said this while speaking at a seminar on “Awareness on Karo-Kari and Other Forms of Violence Against Women,” organised by the Sindh Development Organisation here on Sunday.
