LAHORE, Jan 21: The Punjab PPP parliamentary party met here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Qasim Zia to discuss matters concerning the Senate elections.

Sardar Lateef Khosa, Sajjad Bukhari, Ehsanul Haq Piracha and Muhammad Akbar Khwaja were also among participants.

Mr Qasim criticized the government for changing the rules of the game so frequently. He said the party would not be unnerved by such tactics. He said the condition that the proposers and seconders of candidates must be present at the time of the filing of nomination papers reflected the malafide intentions of the government.

He accused the government of involvement in horse-trading to win the Senate elections.
