RAWALPINDI, Jan 16: Four persons were killed in separate incidents in Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Thursday.
In the first incident, a commerce college student was shot dead by an unidentified motorcyclist on Sixth Road on Thursday, police said.
Mehmood Khan, a first-year student in commerce college, was on his way home on foot when an unknown person intercepted him and shot him. The injured boy was shifted to Rawalpindi General Hospital where he died, the police said.
The motive behind the murder is being investigated by the New Town police. In the second incident, one person was killed and six others injured when their bus overturned on Faizabad fly-over on Thursday night.
A bus (NWFP-5256) was on its way to Lahore when it overturned on Faizabad fly-over due to overspeeding, the police and the injured said.
Rehmatullah died on the spot while six others received injuries. The injured were shifted to Federal Government Services Hospital and Pims where they are said to be in stable condition.
The bus driver, who is yet to be identified, escaped from the scene, the police said.
In another incident, an unidentified person was killed after falling from a mini-bus at China Chowk on Thursday.
