Armyman killed in road accident

RAWALPINDI, Jan 12: An armyman was killed in a road accident, while two cars were stolen from different areas of the city, police said on Sunday.

In the first incident, Mohammad Arif, who was hanging by the door of a moving passenger bus, died after he hit a tractor trolley parked alongside Chakri Road on Saturday night.

In the vehicle theft incidents, Haq Nawaz’s cab (BRB-2288) was stolen from Sadiqabad, and Mr Imran lost his car (IDL-5215) in the parking lot of Ayub National Park on Sunday, the police said.

PPI ADDS: The FIA immigration authorities at Islamabad airport on Sunday arrested three persons for allegedly trying to travel on fake documents.

Sardar Abdul Azim Khan, assistant director immigration, said, Tariq Mushtaq, real name Iftikhar Baig, was off-loaded from a London-bound flight, Pk-785, for travelling on a passport carrying fake re-entry stamp of United Kingdom Home Office.

Similarly, Mohammad Bin Yamin, real name Masood Ahmed, was off-loaded from flight No PK-701 to London for carrying a photo- change British passport.
