BADIN, Jan 11: The Golarchi police have arrested landlord Jumman Jat after registering a case of criminal assault against him.

A woman, belonging to the scheduled caste and the mother of seven, was criminally assaulted by the landlord the other day.

The landlord, with four accomplices, is accused of barging into the house of a farmer, F.K. and assaulting his wife, R.K.

SUICIDE: A 22-year-old woman, Noor Jehan, reportedly committed suicide by shooting herself in Qaziabad village near Nindo Shahar, Badin taluka on Thursday.

The suicide was attributed to psychological distress as she was married to a 13-year-old boy.

It is said that her father-in-law and mother-in-law are deaf and dumb.
