PML-N concerned over Qadeer link

ISLAMABAD, Jan 8: Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) has expressed concern over reports linking country’s top scientist Dr Qadeer Khan with the so-called “axis of evil.”

At a party caucus presided over by Chairman Raja Zafarul Haque the PML-N termed the linking of Dr Qadeer with “axis of evil” as continuous onslaught by foreign powers on the country’s sovereignty.

The party noted that the ill-conceived policies of President Musharraf’s had landed the country in deep trouble and compromised country’s sovereignty.

The meeting was also attended by Acting President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Secretary-General Saranjam Khan, Additional Sec-Gen Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal, Sartaj Aziz, Deputy Parliamentary Leader Chaudhry Nasir Iqbal, Raja Nadir Pervaiz and a number of other party leaders.

Raja Zafarul Haque observed that in the given geo- political situation Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) was the only party which can pull the country out of the present crises.
