KARACHI, Jan 7: The bay horse Pearl trained by champion trainer Taj Mohammad, should win the third race hands down, when the Gymkhana Meeting gets under way at the Karachi Racecourse on Wednesday.

Participating in a big field of 18 runners, Pearl after his one sided victory last time out under jockey M. Nasir, should sprint to the winning post ahead of Even Top and Mera Jugnoo.

Six events have been drawn up on the racing card, all going over the sprinting distance of six furlongs. The first race begins at 1.00 p.m.

In the opener with 11 runners vying for the spoils, Sweet Senorita, although penalised to carry 9-4 on her back, is fancied to win this race from Sher Khan and Darbari Malang.

Present Will, looks a good thing to triumph in the following event, closely followed home by Gharnata and Sunday Silence.

If all goes well, Sweet Grandy with a good lad astride, could grab the honours in the fourth race from Little Sunny and Mark.

The chestnut mare Surprise Again, is on song to make it two winners in a row for owner-trainer Iftikhar Ali, challenged throughout the five furlong journey by Order Of The Day and Blue’s Night.

In the concluding event, the thoroughbred five-year-old bay horse Snake Eyed has the credentials to win this race from top weight Aziz Love and the bay filly Shama.
