KARACHI, Jan 1: Sindh Chief Minister Sardar Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar on Wednesday urged the notables, elected representatives and tribal chiefs to mediate between the Jatoi and Mahar tribes to stop bloodshed and create a peaceful atmosphere in the area.

In a meeting with National Alliance leaders Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi, Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, Irfanullah Khan Marwat and Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, who called on him at the CM’s House, the chief minister said notables of the tribes should bring them to the negotiating table and settle the disputes permanently.

He announced his support to Imtiaz Shaikh in the by-election for provincial assembly seat, PS-18, Kashmore, says a press release.

#PAGARA:# li Mohammad Mahar met Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) chief Pir Pagara at Kingri House and discussed the political setup, specially the formation of the provincial cabinet.

#PRIVATIZATION:# he chief minister also met advisor to the prime minister on investment and privatization, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, and discussed various matters.

Dr Shaikh informed the CM that the privatization process was being streamlined and more practical steps were being taken to achieve positive results.

A delegation from Khairpur district, led by Gulzar Unnar, also called on the chief minister and apprised him of the problems of the area. Mahar said officials of CM’s House had been directed that the MPAs who came to visit him should not be kept waiting.—PPI
